Claudine Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of the Freestate and is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. She is currently busy completing her Master of Science degree in Dietetics through the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth.
Claudine has worked as a clinical dietitian in both the public sector as well as private practice, and also worked for an international corporate food service organisation for 9 years. Due to her expertise in this field, she is well positioned to consult to food companies on nutrition and regulatory matters, development and implementation of nutrition intervention programs in corporate- and school restaurants and tuck shops, training of hospital food workers on the preparation of accurate hospital diets, media liaison, marketing of nutrition strategies, and has extensive experience in corporate wellness initiatives.
She has contributed to various magazine publications such as Shape magazine, Longevity, various Weigh-Less magazine publications, Business Day newspaper, Vrouekeur tydskrif, Die Burger, Finesse, Kuier, various regional newspaper publications; as well as nutrition-related radio talks.
She is a member of the Association of Dietetics, the Discovery Vitality Wellness Network and the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Claudine is passionate about people and their health, and enjoys helping others to optimise their health and manage their chronic lifestyle related diseases through sound nutritional therapy and practical advice.
